Sound Visualization: Phase 3 & 4

Here is my project for animation. I used two songs that I listen to, Empire by Shakira and Mad Hatter by Melanie Martinez. It look me about 2 hours to complete the actual animation and plus 10 minutes in adding sound track.

Sound Visualization: Phase 3+4

I enjoyed for working on this animation project. I learned to create an animation by using animatron and add sounds for it. The most challenging part in this project for me is the first step which is designed figures for legato and staccato, I create them in complex ways and it didn’t work well so I got restarted over in order to design other compositions. The easiest part is when I animated it. Animated was relaxing and fun, I can listen to music at the same time I do the animation part, thats why this is my favorite step for this project.

It took me about 1 hr to finish phase 3.

Sound Visualization: Phase 3 and 4

In this project, I learned how to make designs based on staccato and legato sounds. I have to say I struggled mostly with the staccato designs because my designs were way too complicated. What I did was refine of few of the staccato designs and made it more centered instead of all over the place. I also had a tough time picking staccato music since my earlier choices didn’t have much of an impact with the beat because of the instrument. Even though I came across some struggles, I had a lot of fun experimenting with this project. This project made me come up with designs I never knew I could come up with. Now as a final result I’ve created an animated mash up that has an African drumbeat mixed with a song called “Only You” by Winter Sonata. The time it took to complete this project was 5 hours and 30 minutes.

ENG 1101 Classwork: Thesis statements and outlines

The purpose of identifying this juxtaposition is to observe how Duffield Street’s older buildings mesh with the rest of MetroTech by virtue of sharing a common set of New Yorkers.

Although Duffield Street represents an older New York than the MetroTech development, by occupying the same space, they attract a common set of New Yorkers who benefit from their diverse offerings.
