Visualization mashup: phase 2

I did not spend a very long time inking this . This turned out to be my final iteration because I thought it was astetchically  better than the previous one I did . I’m

Sound Visualization Mashup: Phase 1

The song that I chose to make these thumbnails is “ Guns Down “ by Flau’jae the type of genre this song is based on R&B (pop/ hip hop).   So the thumbnails I have made are mostly beats they represent the rythmes that I heard in the beginning or the background. The thumbnails I drew are very staccato figures because they have a very sharp rhythm to them (except one).

The second bottom to the right (the little tornadoes) are not from a beat it is the vocals from the rapper and I made a new one every time she took breath from one verse to another. In the beginning of the song it starts out very mellow so that’s why I have one of the thumbnails more of a legato figure.

Sound Visualization Mashup: Phase 1

So the song that I choose to make these thumbnails on the image is “Want You” by Rynx feat. Miranda Glory and the genre of this music piece is based on pop/ electronic. Most of the thumbnails have these wobbling scripts and they represent the vocals and/or the bass of the music played and they’re also known as legato figures because it has this very slow and flow rhythm (for some of the wobbly thumbnails).

The top left is a bit unusual  and it is also known as staccato because all angles and lines are connected together and it has this very pointy edged that in music represents a rhythm that all different pieces are connected. These thumbnails are only instruments that are played on the music and hearing each part of the instrument I reimagined how they would look like and redesign it using my perspective image. I understand that the artist is showing signs of excitement and show it’s unique style of music and it the reason it’s one of my favorite songs is for the the amazing vocals and melodies that the artist is using as well as the amazing rhythm and potential on the bass/ percussion part.

Urban Artifacts: Phase 4

Revision:

In my opinions I though this project was kind of cool. I mean it did take a while to finish the project but honestly I though I could’ve been done in a shorter amount of time. Although some parts were unclear to me, I should’ve made more effort to understand some parts of the project. Honestly my planning should’ve ben more on point because I assumed this project was a bit less complex than it actually was but it turns out I was a little bit wrong. I also learned that materials are very important when it comes to some projects that involve thought and precision. I plan to apply what I learned in this project through other projects so I can be more open minded and organized.

Urban Artifacts: Phase 3

Short Description:

This part of the project is related to the previous project because, I’m using the same photos from the previous project. The only difference is that I updated my refined sketches to make it appear more of an inked composition.

Hours:

I spent about Two Days working on my Inked compositions. It took me two days because I had to think my way through the inked compositions and I also thought about ways to edit the drawing to make it look presentable to the audience and to also feel satisfied with my work.

Peoject#2: Sound Visualization Mashup-Phase 3

Animation

This anime is representing a mash up of two songs, Summertime and Feels Summer, both songs created by the artist Childish Gambino. The swirls are the Legato, they represent the long flowing manner of Childish Gambino’s voice in Feels like Summer. The circles and lines are the staccato. They represent the separated notes played by the repeated beats played summertime.
