This project was pretty fun, it was really nice to mix art and music together, into almost one medium. I think the songs that were chosen were nice, but i do kind of wish i chose my own music, maybe i would have been able to create better designs. I think my biggest struggle with this project was time, i had so many issues with photoshop, and how to set everything up, it was a little annoying at first but i’m glad i know how to animate on photoshop now. If i could go back and fix one thing it would maybe be the animation, i would have really like to have made the lighting sync up wit the staccato beats, but i didn’t have time, otherwise i’d say i’m content with the project. Maybe for the next project i’ll try to personalize it more.

Sound Visualization Mashup: Phase 3
Sound Visualization: Phase 4
During this project, I learned how to work photoshop to create a mashup of different pieces of drawings that I made. though I did feel like I wanted to do more, I am still happy with the outcome. I also wish that I had made my inking piece a lot better because the lines were not straight at all, that made me have to put in a black background instead of a white one. in the future, I would like to do this a lot better and with more legato and staccato pieces. I would also like to learn how to use the animations in photoshop more so that it could be more smooth the next time we do something like this.

Sound Visualization Mashup: Phase 4
During this project i learned how to animate on photoshop. I usually edit videos on adobe premier pro. I never animated so this was a fun experience. After getting feedback about my animation, i was told to not fade the drawings in the end, after looking back at my video, i agree. I learned a lot on this so i will be prepared for next time.
Sound visualization: Phase 1
These are the sketches that I made for the staccato and legato pieces of music that we did in class. Most of these I didnt use because they were either too much to draw or just didn’t really like it enough to put it on the finishing piece. Some of them were also inspired by some of the muni was listening to.

Song used: See You again instrumental, and Idfc instrumental
The animation is 10 seconds long. I tested out many songs to go with this animation but there were only two that fit together along with fitting in with the animation. I have spinning images and some are wiggly. Then theres a few that are fade ins and most of them enter from the side. Overall i spent around 5 hours and is satisfied.
Sound Visualization Mashup: Phase 2
Duration: 30 minutes
Took me a while to try not to get ink smushed.

Paragraphs:
When I listened to my first song “20 mins” by lil the artist of lil uzi vert I was intrigued because of the beat. The beat was very jumpy and consistent in my opinion. In terms of patterns I thought the patterns was repetitive. Also I feel as if the shape was circle-like in a hypnotizing type beat. These observations kind of makes me drawn to the music in a way.
Now for my second song, I though the beat was more relaxed in a way. I thought that the the beat was more smooth in the way that makes people want to listen to it. In terms of the pattern the beat was very consistent and unexacting at the same time. In terms of shape I felt as if the beat more of a triangle shape type beat. These observations actually made me more in tune with the song.
Hours:
I spent about 15-20 mins drawing the sound of the music.
