I found this word in the text of “A professor of sociology at queens college” where it says,“Here, poverty and privilege are neighbors; income gaps are a source of resentment and guilt”.
Idealize (v.)
Merriam Webster: to form ideals.

Looking at images, I can see that idealize means something that someone would want to be back isn’t

The word ordained is used a lot for sayings like “equal punishment was ordained for the two crimes”. The word also has a definition that supports the previous definition which is to make someone priest or minister.

Benevolent (adj.)
Definition: marked by or disposed to doing good ( Merriam Webster)
Source: “When Your Boss is an Algorithm.” First sentence of paragraph 4, “Data and Algorithms are presented as objective, neutral, even benevolent.”
While looking at images of benevolent, I saw a lot of images of people being kind and helping out someone else

Definition: powerful or very dominant
This word was found in the article “A Natural Fix for A.D.H.D.” written by Richard A. Friedman. This word is used to describe that A.D.H.D is “the most prevalent psychiatric illness of young people in America affecting 11 percent of them at some point between the ages of 4 and 17.”
The word is used to describe how intense and common this disorder has become in the younger generations. The author proves the point in the article by saying because of how prevalent this disorder has become such a common disorder among the younger community.

Encounter: I encountered this word while I was on the Merriam Webster website and I clicked the link “the word of the day” by accident.
Comprehension: I understand that this word has to do with repetitive things. That could be many things from seasons, birthdays, holidays, and even patterns.

Definition: a deficiency or failing, especially in a neurological or psychological function.
The word was encountered in “The Natural Fix for A.D.H.D.” written by Richard A. Friedman. The author uses this word to explain what A.D.H.D abbreviates for, “Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder”.
I knew what A.D.H.D was, I just didn’t understand what deficit meant which is apart of defining the type of disorder it is. This word has other definitions but all surround the same definition of something “failing”
Multihyphenate (noun)
Definition: someone who does several different jobs, especially in the entertainment industry.
”Wolfe outlines a philosophy that reflects his multihyphenate nature, blending the artistic approach of a photographer with the rigor of a lawyer.”
I understand this word now because the author, Chuck Wolfe has more than one job. He is a lawyer, photographer, writer and more. He works more then one job.
