Project #6 – Color Harmony

This project was a rather quick one for ending the semester, but I ended up enjoying it much more than I thought. My favorite part was putting the palette together; it was so much fun and the palette simply looks aesthetically pleasing!

This was a short little project but it was interesting to say the least. It was just nice to see all the different colors that are within a single thing, whether it’s a picture of a person, place, thing etc…And my image was just a random bottle that I decided to do. Would have love to make it within Illustrator or Photoshop but I am not familiar really at all with those softwares. But still enjoyed the project none the less.

I enjoyed this project, even if I had less time to work on it than the other projects I’ve done this semester. I used a comic from an comedy artist I found named Shen Comix, for my color inventory. For my composition, the color inventory reminded somewhat of nature, so I decided to use the browns for a tree and the more colorful colors for a bird. The colors left over were grays so I gave the bird a tiny hat.

“crazy hexagons ”
I had trouble with this project. I knew what I was suppose to do but I don’t have much experience in illustrator, I decided to play with shape and overall I liked how these colors combined created art. Also with the time pressure it was hectic . Overall I was able to include all color in this process and made it make sense and a balanced feeling to it.

This project was a pretty easy and calm project to do, i learned a lot about color balance. This definitely opened my eyes to the many different colors in the world.

in my opinion this was the funniest easiest and shorts project we have ever had. I wish we would have done more projects like this. Every thing was straight forward and easy to understand.
