The Office of Student Life will be featuring the film Halloween (2018) on Thursday, October 31st in the LG 30 from 12:30 – 2:30 pm (Snacks will be served).
Student government is hosting a Masquerade Ball on Thursday, October 31st in the Namm Cafeteria from 7:00-11:00 pm. RSVPS are required!
Plan Week is (10/21 – 10/26) and it is the follow-up to Welcome Week! Similar to Welcome Week there will be workshops held, except this is in the middle of the semester. These workshops will benefit you because they include information on registration, advisement, resume writing and more. I hope to see some of you there!!
This Thursday at 1:00 pm in Namm 228 there is a workshop about Time Management and Test-Taking Tips! There will be free food and I will be there as well! There is another workshop on Thursday 10/10 at 2:00 pm in Namm 108 called Controlling your Nerves During Exams. If any of these events seem interesting to you I encourage you to attend!!
Tomorrow there will be a workshop at 1-2pm in Namm 228 about note-taking and study skills! Peer Mentors will teach students effective ways to take notes, and actually remember what happens in class. They will also explain how taking better notes can lead to better studying and ultimately better grades. There will be free pizza! I hope to see some of you there!
If you are struggling in biology or math here are the tutoring dates! It is on the Library Building ground floor across from the computer lab.
It’s okay to struggle but please go to tutoring if you are behind or lost. Math is a hard subject that I also struggled in which is why I want you all to take advantage of this free tutoring. I will be more than happy to go with you!!
From my experience, the tutors are very respectful, patient and helpful. I often went for my English papers and they walked me through step by step. The tutors are here to help you succeed 🙂

This is the full Counseling Center Workshop schedule! These workshops can benefit you by teaching you valuable skills such as decision making, managing stress, and deadlines. Many students loved these workshops during Welcome Week so be sure to try one if you haven’t!

Tomorrow at club hour there will be a First Student Success Workshop called Launching Your College Career in the room Namm 228 at 1:00pm – 2:00pm! This workshop helps you get adjusted here at City Tech. There will be free pizza and I will be there as well so stop by and say hi!
Another event happening on campus tomorrow is COMD Recruitment Party also at club hour during 12:45pm – 2:00pm on the first floor in the pearl building. Art and Design Club, Ink club, and Moving Pixels will be there promoting their clubs! Hope to see some of you there 🙂
