I learned that color I picked could’ve worked better if it was shade. Tint works well with complementary and Triad compositions but as a analogous, it lacked contrast. Before I chose violet as one of the analogous which was worst because since violet is a in the mix of red-violet, it was like the violet focal point was not there. For next project, I’ll use the one of the highest contrasting color chalks that fits the object.

Colors: Red-Violet (tint) , Yellow-Green (tint)
Triad Composition
Colors: Red-Violet (tint), Yellow-Orange (tint), Blue-Green (tint)
Analogous Composition

Project 4 Color your Selfie- Step 2
The contrast I got was hard get. In order to get the white I had to constantly raise the contrast however the more I raise the contrast, the more the left side of my face starts to blend with the shadow. I think I got the right balance where the you can see my eyes, eyebrows, nose, and mouth.
My favorite color I would be working on is red- violet (tint).

This is my high contrast image and on the right of it will be my color scales. My primary color for this project will be to achieve different colors of green for my complementary, triad, and analogous compositions.
Andrew Chen Project 4 – Deliver
Overall I really had fun playing with the colors. I never thought I would enjoy playing with the triad colors. The one improvement I would like to work on is the 1st step, playing with the brightness and contrast and still maintaining the details. I had a hard time getting all of the bow tie in tack, so I had to remove it. I would like to play with more colors on my hair face and tie.

I use the orange to complement and also exaggerate the blue, making it strong.
The Triad colors went very well, of the three images, this was my favorite. The yellow back ground really complemented the red hair.
For the Analogous colors I chose the blue as the background to complement the violet blue details and it also making the blue green hair very noticeable.
My favorite color is green. For as long as I can remember green has been my favorite color. It feels like I didn’t choose the color the color chose me. Green is a secondary color created by blue and yellow. The color green symbolizes nature and give off a calm relaxed emotion. The color green can be used to symbolize wealth, luck, nature, healthy and etc. Green is a calm color that can also symbolize balance, stability, reliability, safety and etc.
