From project 3, I learned that design principle such as transparency, layering and value make a composition very powerful. Also, the more we use our materials, our self assessment focus more in the terms we are working on. Equally important, I learned that the movement from black to gray to white, as the value scale in magazine, pencil and ink becomes critical in a work for the viewer to identify the difference. In addition, Painting the value scale in gouache was very difficult, meaning that I learned how to use the materials like the tape. Finally, I learned that working on measurement requires being very precise when is about the same composition done in different value scale.
