I have created a Returns Folder in your DropBox Folder. I have placed a graded Test 1 in that folder for most of you.

Midsemester Grades

Your grades are listed according to the last 4 digits of your EMPLID. As of right now, most of you have a Test 1, and I have recorded all the current WeBWorK assignments on Rederly. If you have any questions, see me before or after class.

I’d like for you all to convert your old modules to a single PDF and place them in their respective DropBox Request links. It has been the holdup for a lot of grading, since many of you have left them in your own folders.

It has been brought to my attention that this question has been a nuisance.

One of the issues is that WeBWorK solutions are coded. Essentially, you are typing in absqrt(a). The problem is that your answer would be interpreted as |qrt(a)|. That would be the absolute value of qrt(a).

To rectify this, type in either basqrt(a), or ab*sqrt(a)

A reminder.

• The first test is at 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday 4/9/2021.
• All work is your own. No collaboration.
• I hope you’ve been keeping up to date on Rederly and taking full advantage of the test 2 reviews. 
• Be sure to practice creating PDF files of all your work. For test 1, I may accept work submissions in incorrect format for -10. Later exams, I will not accept at all.
  • ONE FILE

• Be prepared to discuss three questions from the test. The quality of your answers will determine the remaining portion of your grade.
• If you do not interview, you will lose the points you could have had.
  
  • e.g. If you scored 100 average on the written and WeBWorK portion of the test, then you will receive only 70% as a grade without the interview since the WeBWorK and the Written Work for the test count as 70% of the overall test.

10% Rederly submission.

60% Written submission of your methods used to solve your ALEKS questions.

  • until 7:20pm on the 23rd. Late submissions are -10 for entire exam.
