Media Release form

Hey everyone, in order for me to record classes (I need you all to sign a Media Release Form. Here is a link to the form, which you need to download and sign.

Please submit the completed form here.
https://www.dropbox.com/request/VIDgtpi03zQ2M7zuqk0P

If you have a printer, you can print the pdf, sign it, and use the Dropbox app to scan, name, and upload the file the same way as the first assignment.

If you don’t have or want to print it, there are ways to mark up a PDF using various apps. You can use a drawing tool to submit a signature as best you can, save the file as a pdf, and then upload it to Dropbox.

If you can’t mark up a pdf, try inputting a Text Box and put in [Signed] before you type in your name.

At the top, fill out the form with this info:

  • Event: MAT1275 OL55 Class Lecture
  • Date: Spring 2021 Semester
  • Place: Zoom

When you upload, use Lastname_First Media Release.pdf. Ex: Hammer Bro will upload as BroHammer media release.pdf.

Please do this as soon as possible. Please email me if you have any questions. Thank you!

Professor Lee

Please answer the question as you did in the Trig Applications homework section before 5:00pm Friday. I will not care about how you solve them. (A bonus for somehow “brute forcing” your way through with the knowledge of trig we have just acquired). We will be using your work to hopefully explore our way through the next topic.

  • You can write on the Classkick, although it would be easier with a tablet and a stylus.
  • You could also write the work in your notebook, take an image of your work and paste it below the problem.
  • I will ask you to present your solutions in class.

Week 10 Notes

Hello class,

Notes

Definitions I forgot to mention:

  • co-terminal angles
    • angles that share the same initial and terminal side.
    • the terminal ray can be any integer number of full rotations.
(one full rotation being 360 degrees or 2pi radians)
      • positive co-terminal is in counterclockwise direction and adds rotations
      • negative co-terminal is clockwise and subtracts rotations

Test 2 Information

A reminder.

  • The first test is at 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday 4/9/2021.
  • All work is your own. No collaboration.
  • I hope you’ve been keeping up to date on Rederly and taking full advantage of the test 1 review (in spite of two questions on there that will most certainly not be on the test).
  • Be sure to practice creating PDF files of all your work. I will not accept work in improper format.
  • Submit to this dropbox request link.
    • Any submission after 8:00pm results in -20 on your final score.
  • Online programs like MathWay, Photomath, etc. are banned. (Automatic 0 + Faculty Action Report on your Academic Record if I recognize usage of the program.).

10% Rederly submission.

  • Go on Topics -> Test #2 .
  • Be sure to write all solutions and SHOW ALL WORK on separate sheets of paper.
  • *DO NOT SUBMIT unless you’ve answered ALL QUESTIONS!*
  • Rederly questions last 110 minutes and will instantly cut off at 8:00pm on the 9th.

Oral Defense (Up to 30% of your test score)

  • Until 4/16 (right before class, though I might be willing to interview someone after.
  • Sign up here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12E6X0vOua6cI6Yo6zqCKk2SA4QxU5dBk1MP4WoZ_wwE/edit?usp=sharing
    • Timeslots in blue and green represent other Zoom locations I will be in.
  • Be prepared to discuss three questions from the test. The quality of your answers will determine the remaining portion of your grade.
  • If you do not interview, you will lose the points you could have had.
    • e.g. If you scored 100 average on the written and WeBWorK portion of the test, then you will receive only 70% as a grade without the interview since the WeBWorK and the Written Work for the test count as 70% of the overall test.

Yes, we will have a short class after the exam.
