The connection between these phototgraph taken at Ferguson and Kent State is that you can see the casualities of protesting. In Ferguson people are being pelted with tear gas canisters and rubber bullets. In the Kent State photo a protester was killed, which is where you ask when will they realize that thats not how to handle things. Scott Olson even goes as far as to say the police trying to control the sitituation in Ferguson are overarmed for the situatuion and that even the police in the ukraine were not this armed. The police in the Ukraine were not as armed? You really have to ask yourself the situation in Ferguson is smaller then the situitaion in the Ukrain, then why are the police in Ferguson armed like they are battling the crisis in the Ukrain. Eventually, rubber bullets will become real bullets and the caniters of tear gas will turn in water cannons. I feel that Police should have there guns turned into guns that only fire rubber bullets and a special squad of police with real bullets can step in if really needed.

The Greatest War Photograph
It turns out that the Robert Capas “Death of a Loyalist Soldier” was in fact real, despite popular controversial belief. I believe that the pictures authenticity plays a big part on how it impacts that person looking at it, if the person knows it is fake they will just pass it by and it will have no effect on them. If the person believes the picture to be real them it will make them question what the person died for and how. A picture of a solider dying mid-battle makes you wonder if it is that simple to die instantly on the field. it makes you ask yourself is going to war worth it, if your just going to die just like that. I originally thought most war photos were fake because how do you get that close to the action and not get hurt or get captured.
Food Behind the Scenes
First off, celebrities have some of the weirdest eating habits I have ever seen. But it is interesting that you get a glimpse into what some celebrities are like out of the spot light, and what they are into eating, which by the way some make you scratch your head and go “really? that’s what you like”. Also, the food he photographed looks amazing, i’ve seen food on TV shows that have not looked as good as his work. I’d use his pictures if I wanted to advertise a menu, where people could eat like the stars. Except the picture where there was a used condom hanging off the rim of a glass full of Guinness, I don’t think I want to know what happens in Busta Rhymes room while on tour.
The special effects.
I was able to catch some of the special effects for the most part. I will say that there is too much going on in the film at one time to really realize exactly whats going on. Also, the music did not help. But I did see some resemblance between photography and filming for example the staging of what was being filmed . People who make films and take pictures use the same techniques to get the shot they desire, after all films were originally called moving picture shows. Specific actions or clothing can provoke the reaction what the director or photographer is trying to show. The similarities between a photographic camera and a film camera is they both capture an image, the difference between the two is that a photographic camera takes still pictures, while the film camera can capture a moving image continuously.
Does It Look Delish
This is a dish i made at work which is a Grilled Thai shrimp with coconut steamed riced and avocado. The reason this looks delicious is the avocado, even though the main thing on the plate is the shrimp. The avocado is thick and fresh with no browning bits shown and the black pepper sprinkled on time. The shrimp does look good stacked on top of the rice with its grill marks, but the avocado draws the attention of the eyes.
Breakfast
Yes! American Breakfasts are too sweet, not only sweet but hearty. I’ve been to others countries and I’ve noticed that breakfast is very simple compared to a typical american breakfast that most families would have. But, as to if I think breakfast is important, of course it is, I feel like people function better is they have had a good nights sleep followed by a good breakfast. As a kid that grew up in Brooklyn a typical breakfast would be a sandwich that had bacon, eggs, cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. After that was eaten it would be washed down with an Arizona soft drink. Depending on where you were from in Brooklyn this would be called a hood breakfast (no relation to hood college).
Subway Portraits
These picture are amazing and interesting because most of the people did not know they were being photographed. Due to the fact that people didn’t know they were being photographed the picture are as natural as it gets. What makes this so  relatable is the fact that in some of the photos you can see what train line the picture was taken on  for example there is one photo where a woman is sitting below a sign that says “City hall” and “Pelham bay park”, Most would know that the train she is on is now the 6 train. Also, even though these were taken during “The Great Depression” the facial expression are the same as the ones seen today. some of the expressions are blank, happy, saddened or just seam like they are upset.
The one thing that I will say that is different from back then compared today is that there are more minorities on the train, but who is to say that they are not  minorities on the train during when the picture were taken but minor just has not be defined by people of colored yet. Also, you see people are just on the train, there are no headphones, Ipad, kindles, or cellphones. It makes you realize how far we have come from reading news papers and books on the train to using electronics.
hands up don’t shoot
When i look at these photographs it really upsets me to see how these police men are heavily armed and the way they are treating these civilians. One of the photographs shows about six police men pointing a gun at one man who has his arms up. these shows that the police are at war with civilians. How can they mishandle civilians as if they are in a war zone. The police should know that they are dealing with civilians and that they are not at war and they should know how to handle demonstrations like these without hurting anyone. i think the police need to be retrained on how to handle the civilians, they are being too aggressive on their approach they need to calm down and stop being on urge all the time. the police need to regain the trust that the public have in them in order for them to do their job right. Their job is to maintain law and order and also to protect the public and if the public no longer has the confidence in the police how are they going to do their jobs well if the very people they are sworn to protect do not trust them.
Documenting California’s drought
Looking at these pictures you really get a glimpse to what these farmers are going thought and the effects these drought have the lives of the farmers and the country as a whole. Since most of our produce come from California not only does the drought affect the farmers it also affects the country because things become very expensive because we have limited amounts. Looking at these pictures you can see how these drought affects the land and make it very difficult for farmers to grow any crop. It is very difficult for crops to even survive without water and even if they do survive they do no look as fresh as they will usually do. These pictures look more realistic i grew up in a country where i did not rain most of the time and the land was very dry and dusty and i have experienced it before so when i look at these pictures i can see the frustration that these farmers go through. Without rain and no irrigation system it would be very hard for these farmers to be able to work and feed their families. They do not only work to feed their families but they feed the nation as a whole so it is a national problem which must be solved .
Robert capa and the greatest war photography
Looking at the photograph i do not think that it was staged most people are believe that he could have staged this photograph. but looking at this picture up close there is no way he could have staged this photograph and gotten this perfect image without it being real. Looking at how the soldier is falling on his back you can tell that he has been shot in his arm that is the only explanation for his body posture and how he is falling on his back. Most people also argue that if he was really shot then he must have blood and that they can not see any blood. first this is a black and white photograph it would be very hard to detect any sign of blood from this photograph and also from the angel that he was shot which seem to be his left arm it would be very hard to see any kind of blood. The way the soldier is holding the gun and the way his foot is placed there is no way he staged this. capa just happen to be at the right place at the right time to be able to capture  that soldier at his last moment before he hit the ground and died.
