If you have a camera and a tripod, use it for these exercises. If you have a model, use them.
If not, you can do these exercises as self-portraits with your cameraphone and the Lightroom Photoshop app.
When shooting portraits, front light is often considered the most complimentary light. it flattens the face and minimizes any texture such as wrinkles and blemishes.
Take two photos of yourself with front light, one where you are as close as you can be to the window and one where you are standing 8 or 10 ft back from the window. Put the two photos in a post under the category Week 9 – Window Light Portraits. Write about your process. Compare the backgrounds of the two photos. Which one is looks better?
