This illustration was created by Danish fantasy artist, Jesper Ejsing, through the use of digital media. Ejsing uses directional lines for his composition as with the female crouching down looking up at the dragon ready to attack. There are aspects of asymmetrical balance of the left page, with the dragon looking towards the left and the female at the bottom left. Ejsing also uses the unity of color for his composition with a desaturated background alongside saturated characters which makes them appear more lively. I think his use of composition is really effective in getting the viewer to focus on the characters which is something that I want to add in some of my work.

I also agree that this composition is very successful! I love the asymmetry of it as well as the over concept because I love fantasy. I think the use of directional lines really make this more dynamic and eye-catching!
