Throughout my process, one question constantly recurred. ” Is this metal enough”? I had many ideas ranging from a possessed circus tent, to a hazmat zombie, and my current/final idea being 2 conjoined melting skulls. In the beginning, the idea was to only have one melting skull which would pour into the words ” Toxic Maltz”. I loved the idea but realized while fooling around with it that it would work and look so much more metal if there were two skulls. This concept took up my interest thus deciding to use it as my final. An alternate version of the idea above was the same but the skulls did not have jaws. I chose to not use it because I personally felt that the “melting effect” would look better with a full, complete skull. However, I do intend on trying to make the jawless skull design work on my own time.
