For my final composition for assignment 2, editorial project, I chose to use the colors option 3, which is only cool colors (mostly blues). I ultimately landed on these colors because the super light blue background made it easy to see all the details, while in the other color options the floors in those compositions are darker, which made it harder to see the details. Also, I am very pleased with how my final composition looks with the T magazine logo. I think it looks great!
The movie I chose is The Hateful 8. The not so fun thing about my design is that there are eight characters to work with.
On the way to find shelter from a blizzard the chauffeur stops to tell the bounty hunter John with his bounty Daisy that they have come across the Major and a soon to be sheriff trying to do the same and brings them along. Once they arrive to shelter they are greeted by four other men Bob, General, Joe and Oswaldo. They all introduce themselves but one name seems familiar to the Major which was the old man who was a General in the Civil War. The Major remember why the name rings a bell because he killed his son be him and his son are racists. Then the Major in detail explains to the General how he basically killed his son slowly, then give the General a pistol to see will he try to get revenge for his son. The General attempts to but fails and the Major kills the General. While this was occurring one of the now three men puts poison in the coffee the bounty was the only one that notices. The chauffeur and the bounty hunter both go to drink some coffee and then they start coughing up blood the eventually die. The Major put everyone in a line up while holding guns at and hands the sheriff a gun because he knows that it wasn’t him because he also drank it himself. The Major figured out something isn’t right the whole time and is now revealing it to everyone, and kills one of the three men because his story wasn’t adding up. Now two remained so you thought, after the Major kills Bob he continues with his explanation but gets interrupted by man under the floor board that shot him in the nuts. He falls to the ground and Oswaldo try’s to take advantage of the situation and pulls out a hidden pistol in his boot and the sheriff and Oswaldo shoot each other both get him and Oswaldo is injured more then is disarmed. The Major and the sheriff take cover over on a bed looking over the door to the underground cellar, the Major yell for him to “come out or he’ll shoot Daisy!” He comes out slowly comes out saying “Don’t shoot my sister,” but the Major still shoots the man under floor boards. Eventually kill the last two guys and hang Daisy by the neck, the Major and the sheriff die of their injuries.

The movie name is The Greatest Showman. I think this was a successful and fun design as it includes all the main characters and has so many colors and it just pops. The film was about a man named Phineas who grew from poverty and fell in love with a girl named Charity at a young age who grew from riches, and he wanted to give her the same life her parents were able to give her. They got married and had two daughters, however his life was still hard because his job got closed down, and he was making very little money. He came up with the idea to create a show with people who are “different” in the way that they dont look how “normal” society sees everyone. This turned into creating it into a circus after a review from a critic called his show a circus. The building got burned down by people who rejected the idea of praising people who looked different, and then Phineas came up with the idea to put the show into a big tent by the end of the movie and it became very successful and his life was filled with riches from his success.
The audience for this movie is aimed toward anyone who enjoys fun, and circus, and musicals. Any age could enjoy this movie. It also gives a good message to never give up on your dreams, even when things are looking down, believe in what you can do, and put it to reality.
