Jessie Zhang- Final Project Movie Poster

For this project, the process was thinking about the more important points of the movie. I figured to add in the upside down cross with the possessed character in it to show the general main idea of possession. I added the two other characters above the cross because they played important roles but only showing their faces to not distract too much from the cross area. For the possessed character, I went with a similar color palette as in the movie scene. For the typeface of the title, I used serif because it fit into the ā€œolderā€ times and more serious. I also decided to put the ā€œpurpleā€ in parts of the text on the poster to relate to the original poster. I also added the red splatters on the background to indicate violence and blood.

Wilfny Pelissier Final Movie Poster The Hateful 8

My idea for this final is showing a scene that took play before the story takes place. This scene take place in some mountain region where kills another mans son that he stay in a cabin with brutally because he was racist. I portray this scene simply frame it with the main character holding up his pistols after killing the man and the smoke from the guns create the number 8. I use a slab serif font so that it ties together because this font is frequently used in cowboy themed setting where this takes play as well. I enjoy what I have now compared to what I had before because the design of it wasnt sitting right with me though the whole process and glad I did change it.
