The Story of An Hour paragraph 5

I thought a peddler had something to do with a boat. I realized it meant a merchant which helped me understand the setting better. She [Louise] wasn’t overlooking a canal (like in Venice, Italy) and there wasn’t a man on a gondola peddling.

  1. Please refer back to the glossary instructions and revise this entry. Your title needs to include only the word, and the information needs to more clearly identify not only the word’s definition, but also by direct quotation the context it comes from, and an explanation of that context now that you understand the word. Also, each entry needs to be in its own post so we can alphabetize our glossary at the end of the semester. You can edit your post by clicking EDIT on the line below your post title.
