Learning Log #7 Product Composite

this was a really fun learning log, i was able to understand how mask work which is something i have had trouble with in the past. what i really like about this learning log is being able to work with different highlights and pick and choose the best highlights to create the ultimate picture. for my edit i wanted the eyes of the helmet to pop and the high lights to be mostly central to the front, i felt like it gives it a sort of hero vibe. i didnt touch up the smaller details but i did focus on details like the side grill and the brow which had a strong high light. overall a fun and interesting learning log.

Learning Log #7 Product Composition

When doing this learning log it was exciting using the objects I chose and figuring out what position to do them in the difficult part was finding a good decent enough lighting and white background or close enough white background to use. I did learn something new on using the object and putting a white background fill in Photoshop since my Photoshop skills aren’t great but decent I did find it a fun way to learn to add any background color.

Learning Log #6 – Product Photography

This learning log is to enhance the product through editing. The steps require a blank background with the product place on the photographer decision with a source of lighting. After capturing the image, the image is to be edited on photoshop to make the product pop. The lesson to select the object and erase any imperfections is a good lesson in my option. It can translate to other factors rather than products.

Learning Log #7 Product Composite

I had fun learning and working on this in photoshop. I wanted to use this compositing for this type of work because I really like the red eyes it makes it stand out. Also I like the places that I kept dark it makes it seem more mysteries. I have never done this before in photoshop so this was a new experience and also learning this gave me an idea that I would like to apply to my final.

My method was two matte boards and my led light on the floor. I send my ISO to 100 and my f/to 5.0 to 8.0.  With the led light I had, I was able to cash a shadow on the product.

Learning Log #6

The method I have used is my own desk and white shirt in the background. I have a lamp on the left on a shelf and I was able to shine right onto the product I want to show. It was able to cast a shadow but the white t-shirt was wrinkle. However, I was able to capture the product more when it was in focus.

learning log #6 (Sunny)

Product photography.

For this assignment I used a shoe box as my background. I also used speed light with a defuser and some objects such as PRADA cologne, lens hood and a lens cover. I kept my f\10 because I wanted to get as much texture as possible. I did most of the work I did on Lightroom and Photoshop. In Lightroom I cropped and fixed the color of the photos and used photoshop to reducing shadow and increase the sharpness.

Learning log #6

I choose two box items and then I challenged myself with a floating controller on the last one. I put tape to hold the controller up. The shadow is a bit off but I will learn over time. I used my phone to light up these items. Overall it was fun, taking pictures of something and being creative during these tough times.

Lesson Log #6

For my product, I used Victoria’s Secret lotion that I founded while I’m staying at my brother-in-law’s house. I used the sun as my natural lighting. At first, I had trouble picking my product cause when I was trying to edit on photoshop it would just not turning out right at all. I edited the white balance on this picture on Lightroom. Then on photoshop i just added a white background for my photo.
