I am a photographer and a designer.

Learning log 9

In this learning log we were taught to play around with natural lightings. In my house I have the most lighting coming in from the windows. So I took the pictures near the window where the sunlight is coming in.

Learning Log #12

My partner and I both agreed that “When Images Collide” is more interesting than “All Art is Photography”. “When Images Collide” is and modern museum with interesting artwork displaying on the wall. The artworks are a sequence that tells a story and allows viewers to things what is this art piece trying to present.

My partner and I came upon these three artworks that capture our attention and was about to guess what they were. The first image shows 10 pieces of individual collages of colorful a head silhouette. It allows us to think that the pieces are recycling images to form these collages of silhouettes.

The second images were similar to what we did for our learning log 10 cropping out pictures and have them continue. We both agreed that it reminds us of the Instagram grid collage that we could have our pictures continue using the grids provided for us. These collages are 3D handbooks on the walls.

Lastly, the third image really captured my attention because it’s a very colorful collage. It shows 8 canvases on the wall describing the 4 seasons. We were able to guess it was the four-season college because of the color the artist used and what was in the collage. This artwork allows me to have a feeling of vacation and want to travel at this very moment.

Learning log #10

I opened the image on Photoshop and cropped the image a little bite. Then I start duplicating the background layer. For each duplicated layer I used the Rectangle Marquee tool to select the areas I want to duplicate into a masking layer.

Learning log 11

I created a Car Magazine base on what I’ve taken recently. I look up some of the car magazines to see how they look at what they put on a front-page cover. I noticed that car magazines have text around cars because they want to prompt the car. So I decided to go for something simple and clean that way the viewers are focused on the car.

Learning Log 8

Today’s online class we learned about food photography. For photography lighting and angles are very important. In my photos, I used natural lighting from the windows and the shades to diffuse some of the lights. I had my ISO no higher than 500.

My method was two matte boards and my led light on the floor. I send my ISO to 100 and my f/to 5.0 to 8.0.  With the led light I had, I was able to cash a shadow on the product.

learning log 5

In learning log 5 we did some led lights painting. I set up my camera by having the shutter speed at 6 seconds and my ISO 100 and F 4.0. Afterward, we all took turns with getting creative with the pixel sticks and flashlights we have. We were limited with the colors we have so we decided to put tape over our phone flashlights and color it with colorful pens.
