Learning log #12

I chose the Reconsidering Icons. Afterlife, Jahangir Razmi, August 6, 1979. I really found this photograph (C-Prints) really interesting because of how the glass is leaning against the wall. The cut out of the picture is paste against the glass and how the light shines on them. The light shines exactly on the spot of the photo and makes them have a shadow on their back. The way it is placed is what caught my attention the most, I really wished I was able to see how it would be seen in person.

Learning log #10

I don’t know if I was able to do the photo right. But what I did here is I stacked up the Polaroids frames all together then I put the photo behind them. I aligned the photo with the edges of the the template frame.

Learning Log #9

During class we had to work on window light but with a person. Nobody in my family was able to get close to the window to get capture. Instead my person was my puppy, I tried to get him to pose in certain positions so I can get backlit, sidelit and frontlit. I wasn’t able to get backlit.

Learning Log #8

I had difficult time trying to take a picture of the strawberries near a window. However, I believe I was able to get three good pictures of it, two are of the food product and one was to be funny. As I was taking my picture, my puppy tried to get the strawberry but I stopped him. The struggle of taking a photo indoors. however I was able to get two good photos of the strawberries looking really good to eat. I washed them to get a good moist strawberry, also I had a paper to reflect the light a bit more for the bottom edge.

Learning Log #7

During class, we learned about composition. we learned how it was showed when certain spots hit the product to capture it. The professor showed us a way to replicate an image light through Photoshop. I was able to get certain lights but I wasn’t able to capture it exactly. However, in this photo, I didn’t do any edits to it but I’m going use it again because this could be a form of composition. The light hits it from the left side and was able to shine the left and the right side is dark.

Learning Log #6

The method I have used is my own desk and white shirt in the background. I have a lamp on the left on a shelf and I was able to shine right onto the product I want to show. It was able to cast a shadow but the white t-shirt was wrinkle. However, I was able to capture the product more when it was in focus.

learning log #3

The first picture is rembrandt, The second picture is loop, The third picture is short. That day we learned different ways to take a picture with studio light. I don’t think I did a good job on it because I was able to take pictures as much since everyone wanted me to model for my group.
