This is a Black and white illustration of DC’s trinity Superman, Wonder , Woman and Batman by Jim Lee and Inked by Scott Williams. Right off the bat we definitely see some differences in value and definition as certain spots are darker than other and makes the characters the focal point shining the light on them in all their glory. I also noticed that the emblems on their chests are much lighter than some points on their costume. I also feel like the composition and the white background plays a huge role in making the characters pop out

This piece of art is a drawing of Batman and Superman done by comic book artist Sean Murphy. In this piece, Murphy uses directional lines to show superman and batman looking to the right with something in mind giving it direction. Despite it only being a sketch I feel there is some sense of unity and balance due to the fact that there isn’t space out too much and it looks cohesive despite it not being too symmetrical. I love this art because of its distinctiveness and grit and it just adds to the narrative for whatever character Murphy draws.
