The articles above center around and focus primarily on mental health and illness, mostly on this generation’s adolescents and young adults. This has been something I’ve been wanting to explore for a while, and it can be a very touchy subject as many people in the new generation want to open up about certain issues due to the fact of the social norms and how they might be perceived. I’ve seen a rapid spike in depression, especially in people I know even before covid and as the years progress the statistics are rather alarming because not only is there NOT a decline but a massive spike which is sad due to the resources we have now as opposed to the resources we had back then. We need to tackle this problem and address this problem at the source while we can treat it because it can often lead to harmful behavior, both to the person and others around them and especially with covid and things such as the lockdown, those numbers have increased significantly as well.
