For this project, I decided to explore the idea of online dating during a COVID-19 pandemic. I found two interesting articles below which discussed how the desire for human connection and significance may have increased during these challenging times. Although dating in the age of COVID-19 is simpler in some ways, yet in addition, there’s now also the fear of infection.

In this article, health experts recommend virtual dating as the safest way for people to engage with each other, especially for people who have health conditions. It’s also the best time to discuss people’s routines and interactions, given the pandemic.

Article 2: https://www.miamistudent.net/article/2020/10/tinder-during-covid?ct=content_open&cv=cbox_latest

I found the quote below very interesting from this article.

“As human beings, I would argue that we all crave social connectedness and togetherness, so turning to these apps to find a person makes sense during these times, especially when you’re being asked to be apart,” Leser said.
