I chose this piece because it deals not only with value but my favorite thing to draw and focus on and that’s anatomy. This piece was done digitally by an artist named Daniel Kovacs. This piece really stood out to me because of the way he did his value study. I love how strong the character is and its not fully black and the gray tones make the character and environment stronger. I also like how its an asymmetrical composition and how the character is off to the side. He doesn’t have to be in the center to be noticeable or powerful.
About This Course
This course is a practical introduction to the field of illustration. Focus will be placed on
process work and professional practices, presented within contemporary and historical
context. Course includes projects and lectures in a variety of illustration genres.
