I chose Japanese manga artist Masashi Kishimoto, the creator of NARUTO again because there was a panel in NARUTO Volume 26, Chapter 228 that displayed value studies. Here Kishimoto’s illustration displays a dramatic scene where Naruto uses the Nine Tailed Demon Fox’s power to go up against his team mate Sasuke Uchiha at the Valley of the End. The background has very dark value which brings emphasis that the tables have turned in the battle field. The Nine Tails have a medium value on most of his body and the water has very light value on it.
