I must say each day I am just proving myself to the leaders at Port Orleans. I started off as a housekeeper, now at times I am a runner. Listened to a conference with one of my leaders and today they showed me how to close and track rooms via their computer program. In fact I began to mark down the No Service, Partial Service and DND rooms on to the paper and on Lilo. (Computer program)
It may seem like I am constantly going to work and coming back to my apartment. But not until I sit and recap the day and my three month here. I noticed how I am use to my job and how much I have learned. My time management is much better, I am faster and most importantly my rooms look much better. I infact am doing a good job that I even have the time to go and help the rest of the housekeepers. This makes me really proud because I know I am accomplishing.

Starting a new experience can at times be challenging, it is keep a journal that helps you see the progress of your experiences and cronicles your accomplishments (and setbacks) allong the way. Keep writing the journals and you will find that you will have valuable information for your portfilio. In the long term, you will have these journals to reflect on as you need to solve problems in your new workplace.
