Read and React 4

Being that I am in bell services and am situated at the same area day after day, I knew that their will come a time when the questions and guest concerns would just become repetitive and quite tiresome. That time has come for many of my fellow cast members, especially the full timers who have been in the company for quite a while. I just dont see the same professionalism and courtesy from them compared to the younger less experienced cast members. The Yacht and Beach do however try and keep the magic alive for their full timers by acknowledging their anniversaries with the company and their birthdays in which little parties are thrown in the back office.

I’m not sure if its because I am a new cast member but till this day, I still enjoy answering the same questions over and over again because I enjoy seeing the different reactions that various people give. Whether it be “thank you for filling me in on all the details” with a big smile or cursing me out for pointing them to front desk or concierge if I am not able to answer a question. According to the article, the number one reason for the continued presence of an employee is pride in one’s organization. I have nothing but pride when telling family and friends that I work in a company that attracts millions of people worldwide and is synonymous for the creation of a magical day.

  1. Pride is powerful, it helps to over come the difficulties faced at work.

If you will, please go into more detail about how CPs can make an impact on guest serve. What I mean is why does Disney go to the trouble of hiring a large number of emplyees to just let them walk away in 5-8 months?
