Week 3: Sketchbook

For this sketch I was going for something more so of a character like Kim possible. It’s a simple fighter character who just has some moves and works with gadgets. For my reference, I wanted to work with some different kinds of perspectives to add some different movements to my character. So I began thinking about what different perspectives would look like based on the person my character would be flighting. This is to also play with mood and the action affect, since my character does not have much fictional aspects to her. For the first one it is a typical pose to simply show the general doing a character design. The second one is more in action, where I wanted to catch myself mid punch to show movement. In the picture you can see the blur around my first so I really wanted to sketch that out. With my last image, I wanted to be more closed up and dramatic with the action. This perspective would be if someone were to be getting kicked. Overall, I was trying to reach a variety of perspectives. This is also the first time I’ve sketched digitally on procreate. I typically prefer traditional but this worked too.
