Changing the content text of story to fit the modern day is acceptable but should not have to lose the meaning of the story. Even Genius.com accidently or intentionally switch N word to R word would have different meaning to readers. It was understandable that N word is very offensive to mention in any form and it is racism in our society now. You may see on the television that some show has to alter to fix the general public view on television.
