In this research paper, Merchant compared and contrasted two sustainable companies Orange Fiber and Ananas Anum’s -“Piñatex” which are known for their biosynthetic textiles. She compared these two companies specifically as both of them had one common factor that the fiber they produce is made from the waste parts of fruit such as an orange peel and pineapple leaves. These parts of the plant are normally thrown in the waste but it was very interesting for her to
see how these companies came up with the idea of making the best use out of this waste!
