Throughout the Fall 2019 semester, during her Textiles labs, Merchant completed her Textiles Kit. This kit consisted of natural fibers, manufactured fibers, yarns, plain weaves, twill weaves, satin weaves, fancy weaves, narrow fabrics, knits, upholstery fabrics, dyed, printed, and finished fabrics. All together, Merchant noted, 53 narrow samples and 205 fabric swatches with their names, fiber content, main features, and other useful notes.
