This week I finished my training over at Disney University for concierge. A lot of the class was much repeated for me. For example we went over on how to sell tickets, which was basically learning about all the different types of tickets we offer. But I had to learn about the tickets for front desk already because when I guest has a question, I wanted to be able to give them the correct answer. The training was for 5 days and then I’m about to start my 4 days on the job training. One of the hardest things for me about concierge is merging and linking my Disney experience account for the guest. I really love being able to help guest with dinning reservations and being able to suggest some of my favorite places to eat.
My classes are going pretty well. For both classes we are doing group project based on different organizations. For my Human Resources class my group is using McDonald’s and for my experiential learning class my group is doing KidZania. It’s been really fun working in groups got the opportunity to meet more people and learn from them.
Sound great you finally started the concierge position. There is a lot to learn , but your finally in the stage of not being in front desk anymore. Thats great your progressing and keeping up with school work. There is a lot to follow up with and staying positive. Keep up the good work . Were half way through the finish line!
