During my first week by myself on the job it was really overwhelming while I knew what I was doing there was always a step or question I didn’t know how to answer. Coming from working at places that i knew not all but most of the answers or procedures was really hard for me to have to constantly go up to a leader or FSA to ask questions. One of the most difficult things for me right now is trying to interact with guest while checking them in, because while I want to create magical moments I also want to direct all my attention on the screen to make sure I’m doing everything correctly. Little by little I’m getting more confident with my role.
In a couple weeks I’ll be going back to Disney University for concierge training. I’m really excited to go and learn something new but really nervous because its way more information that I’ll have to learn. But being in concierge desk just looks more exciting than front desk you aren’t repeatedly doing the same thing over and over.
