Journal 3

Well I am officially done with my third week and I passed my assessment with only 6 wrong not bad I think. I am loving my two classes they are very interactive and fun. I am learning a lot about the Disney corporation and a lot about the di\fferent aspects of how I communicate and what kind of leader I am. Unfortunately I am not enjoying my job very much. I absolutely love the constant interaction with the guests but the attitudes and negative disposition of many of my fellow cast members are disheartening. I have actually been told my some of the cast members that the guests are stupid and not important. I can’t possibly understand how they could not only feel that way but share that opinion with someone who is fairly new to the company. My leaders are mixed. Some of are very passionate about the guests and the job and some seem to just do the minimum to get bye.

I am not allowing their negatives attitudes to change my own attitudes towards my guests. I was able to create a magical moment and that did put me in a better spirit. I was working a ice cream cart and A little boy was trying to get Goofy’s attention and Goofy did not hear him so he started to cry. I took one of my Mickey’s Ice cream sandwiches and go over to Goofy and tell him what happen. Goofy took the ice cream sandwich and went over to the little boy and gave it to him. That boy was happy and excited it almost made me cry. This to me are the moments I wish I would see more of everyday and I was very happy to be apart of it.

I also got to visit the parks a few times this week One was of course to epcot food and wine festival which is amazing and cant wait to go again. and I also went to hollywood studios and saw fantasmic for the first time. It was absolutely beautiful and inspiring and I was so happy to have had the chance to see it.

  1. WOW, you did make magic. You worked in a creative and quick manner. EXCELLENT. Keep your standards high even if those around you may not see the value of the work environment the way you do.
