Keeping guests’ happy is definitely encouraged for the continuous flow of business, but keeping employees satisfied is even more important. It is the employees who helps keeps the guests happy and coming back. The first interaction the guests have are with employees, and not the boss themselves, which is why it is very beneficial to value employees who work so hard for the companies they work for. Disney is no exception. Disney is a huge corporate company, with more than 1,000 employees. Even with the large amount of employees, Disney makes sure each and every one of their employees are satisfied and hopes to maintain a low turn over rate. Disney managers and leaders does a few things to make employees feel special.

  • They keep track of their employee’s birthdays and sings them a song with every one. As well as giving them a birthday card.
  • They provide guest fanatic cards where employees can feel special by being recognized for their good work.
  • They ask for feedback often from their employees from anonymous surveys or questionnaires.
  • Each and every one individually is provided with training so they won’t feel neglected.
  • General Managers and leaders are always available if the employees have any problems they want to express.

Disney is trying very hard to make sure their employees feel special, just like how they make sure their guests all feel special. Disney wants their employees to feel proud for working for Disney. The effort is very evident since the first day of work. This is one of the things Disney does to help keep the magic. By satisfying their employees, the can be sure their guests are being satisfied.

Besides making sure their employees are comfortable with their job, they also have continuous training on the company’s history, believes, especially their famous four keys. It’s constant reminders, and it’s everywhere at work on the walls, on the bulletin boards, and even on people themselves, who are expressing the four keys.
