6 Month Fellowship – Office of the President

Position Summary:

The OOP Fellow assists in the Office of the President.  The OOP Fellow assists in all content and operational areas including scheduling, operations/infrastructure, special events, administrative tasks and special projects.

In this position, the OOP Fellow will assist the team in correspondence, scheduling & advance procedures, meeting & calendar strategy, special event planning and board meeting preparation.

The OOP Fellow will interact regularly with the Director of the OOP, OOP Administrative Manager, Manager of Board Affairs and the Scheduler to the President.

This Fellowship is a full-time, paid Fellowship with an ideal commitment of 6 months, September through March.

Responsibilities:

  • Correspondence: drafts, tracks and prints letters
  • Event Planning: coordinates logistics for office meetings and events
  • Board Support: provides administrative and logistical support for Board Affairs
  • General Administration: database work, administrative tasks, mailings, processing of expense reports and pay orders
  • Special Projects: as assigned

Skills:

  • Excellent MS Office Suite skills: including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Familiarity with MS Outlook, Adobe and presentation/design software a plus
  • Detailed oriented
  • Unflappable
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-Starter
  • Excellent Project Management skills
  • Sense of humor

General Experience:

  • Experience in an internship or fellowship program ideally working with senior management, the Executive Director or CEO/President’s office.

Education:

  • Junior or Senior year (undergraduate), Recent Graduate, Graduate Student
