Definition: to influence and dominate by some special charm, art, or trait and with an irresistible appeal.

“Everyone is always chasing after something, many people don’t understand what they are looking for is right in there face, but that’s the way its suppose to be, no one ever knows what the next moment is, that’s what is so captivating about nature because things are suppose to be that way for a reason.”

After reading my classmates work from project 4. A lot of these words are words that we all know but cant give an exact definition to. I used context clues and thought about the word fascinate and charm. This word is a lot more understandable now that I have the definition. One example would be The player captivated his audience with that dunk.
