The calming route is one of the best routes to take when going to school in my opinion. When your day is just getting started its easier to shift from a calming mood to a getting things done mood than going from an annoyed mood to a good one. This route starts after you exit the two and five train station at Borough Hall and you enter Columbus. Once you exit the train station you see on your left the Supreme Court and on your right there’s a TD bank. You would continue walking straight and there are trees on both sides of you, in front of those trees are benches. Straight ahead you see the Henry Ward Beecher statute, when you reach up to the statute you make a right as you cross the street, the street is usually vacant. Then you reach Johnson street and cross the street straight ahead and walk straight until you reach City Tech. This walk is the most calming walk to me because you have the trees and the nice view while walking along with everything not really busy. Its also a calming route because, you aren’t trying to get around a bunch of people so your just moving at your own pace. This walk is about 3-5 minutes longer than other routes when leaving the Borough Hall train station. Depending on your pace which includes the factor of walking up an inclined plane, because the area is not a flat surface your time may vary. Although the walk is not a big time difference the time and energy it takes to walk up the inclined park is more peaceful than some of the other routes. In the afternoon it is peaceful aswell but there are more people and a food market is held in the middle of the park. The most peaceful time to enjoy this route is in the morning, you will still get a positive vibe but the silence in the morning allows more of self reflection vibe.
