Learning Log 11

For my magazine cover, I decided to go with a PS4 controller and mimic the PlayStation UK Magazine. First what I did was take a picture of my PS4 controller on a white background. Then I took it into photoshop and removed it from the background and found transparent images of the logos on the internet. I then proceeded to make an 8.5 in x 11 in document and place everything in it accordingly. I made the shadow by duplicating the controller, putting a black color overlay on it, made it smaller, and then I put a Gaussian Blur of about 70%.

learning log 11# Magazine Cover

For this learning  log we had to create a  magazine cover so i went it my favorite one which is vogue. I chose to take a picture up close focusing on my subjects face. for this picture i used the portrait part of the camera setting on my phone. I also used the flash to brighten up her face. I chose not to put a lot of stuff on the camera just mostly what i want you to know about.

learning log #11

this was a fun task ive really enjoyed taking pictures on a black ground because i like how the colors are much sharper in contrast. for this learning log i uploaded 3 different covers because i felt like all three had a personality of their own, my favorite was the one with the just the name of the magazine because it just seems much cleaner and more eye catching than the other, overall a fun learning log

Learn Log #11

I used a photo from a shoot I did right before the quarantine started. I thought it would be perfect. I went with my favorite magazine dazed and confused. I tried to stick to they’re over all style. Their covers are usually very minimalist. They usually just have the masthead and it’s always either black or white and then the name of the person on the cover plus a little tagline. There are a lot of covers they have with exceptions to this but the reason I like this magazine is because their layout is so simple.

Learning Log #11

This shot was taking in the beginning of when the semester started for homework; I wanted to use this as a fashion from winter to spring. The light I used was natural light but just modified the image to make it look smooth as I didn’t edit it so much but after the edit of brightness and clarity of the image I liked it better. I did enjoy this learning log to learn what and how to make a picture as a magazine as I don’t use Photoshop often but Indesign I did want to challenge myself I would add more text to it but wanted to try out the lesson.

Learning log #10

I don’t know if I was able to do the photo right. But what I did here is I stacked up the Polaroids frames all together then I put the photo behind them. I aligned the photo with the edges of the the template frame.

Homework 5/7

during this assignment i manipulated red towels, and a quite a few tank tops. couldn’t really find a room that could fit the scenery of the painting so I just settled for my room, and then I photoshopped the background of the picture into it, then i added myself to the foreground. using my own wooden tale and a red towel on top. I had to wrap my hair up because lately it has just been too much! the source of lighting is from the top right corner of my window, the rest i covered with my blinds and some bed sheets.
