Amoni: Rapid Prototyping Tutorial

3D Printing: 3d printing occurs after modeling an opject. you can use premodeled or make your own. it then prints in layers based.

3D Scanning: are fast, most times accurate, and automated. They are ideal for complex shapes. they are similar to lazer printers

Laser Cutting: lasers are used to cut various materials. It helps with accuracy and is very dangerous. When setting consider the x,y,z and optic system

Amoni B: Mobile App Concept

  1. Description:  A mobile app for fun. This app will allow people to to have a fun time a parties or where ever. It will bring people together and have people act a fool.
  2. There is a need for fun social games. Most games, even those with multiplayers, hardly have people actively moving and talking to each other.
  3. Functionality 1:  Play scenario tic tac toe
  4. Functionality 2:  Radom scerios
  5. Functionality 3:  vibrant colors
  6. Functionality 4:  location services
  7. Functionality 5:  multi or single player
  8. Functionality 6   add your own actions or remix

Amoni B: QR Code Ideas

I propose the following ideas

  • Index card type of idea. The questions will be on one side and the answer will be in QR Code on the back. You can practice a certain subjects and quiz yourself.
  • Can the codes give random instructions? I propose a offense/defense board game where scanning the code is like rolling the dice on a random instruction. The one who reach the opponents side wins.
  • I propose a charades type game. Each person or team gets to pick a category, out of those categories they can get their team member or the other person to understand what the card is by acting it out.
  • A guess that sound ideas where a qr code takes you to a mini song and you guess the title based on category added 3/16

Project 1:

Project Name & Creator/s:

M Dress byCute Circuit (Founders Francesca Rosella and Ryan Genz)

Project URL:

http://cutecircuit.com/collections/m-dress/

Project Description:

This is a stylish dress that operates as a mobile phone. You can make and receive calls conveniently with gestures.

Input:

An activated mobile Sim card will be needed. Human hand gestures allows for responses. Bringing your hand to your face will allow for a call. Moving hand down to hang up.

Output:

A phone activated dress when sim inserted. A phone call is picked up with the movement of the hand to face. Dialing out, hanging up.

Process:

CuteCircuit created this technology using soft circuitry. its is solar powered. They created a hand gesturing mechanism. I believe after they designed the dress then they figured out ways to hide the wires.

Statement:

The artist is combining convenience with limited mishaps.  CuteCircuit know the hardships of carrying phones when wearing clothes with no pockets or in general. They also realize the horror of misplacing our phone. This dress is ease of use without worry or hassle.

Critique:

The hidden components are amazing. Its a relief and a shock that something like this is out there. How ever I wonder if you have to wear the same dress over and over again.

Project 2:

Project Name & Creator/s:

Heartbeat Hoodie by Diana Eng & Rhode Island School of Design

Project URL:

http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heartbeat-hoodie-by-diana-eng

Project Description:

This hoodie will take images of its frontal surrounding based on increased heartbeat. It documents the interesting momments.

Input:

The following are the inputs: heart rate and motion.

Output:

Output include camera operation and images.

Process:

The “Basic Stamp” algorithm created a motion detection. The accelerated motion then activated the hidden camera to capture its surroundings.

Statement:

They are trying to document times that makes you most excited. It also documents when your emotions are bothered. Great for recalling or for documenting.

Critique:

It seems silly to have a camera on your head or even a hood for that manner.  It is great for alarming situation or even if you want to remember that wonderful moment you had.

Project 3:

Project Name & Creator/s:

Scentsory Design by Hills, Latham, Geesin, Evens, Feltham, & Briggs

Project URL:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9nLCPEGzRw

Project Description:

A variety of clothes made to benefit a person health. The clothes let out smells or chemicals based on need.

Input:

Scent, human body visuals, emotions

Output:

scent, chemicals,

Process:

Microfluids flow through different microscopic tubing and leave out of small incisions. that tubing is created within the clothing.  Liquid is sprayed on targeted areas based on bodily state.

Statement:

They are trying to enrich life, human intersection and health. This happens discreetly without others knowing what is happening. Those sick or with problems such as asthma can benefit. It can also be used to attract members towards you or deodorize.

Critique:

This seems good for those who are unhealthy are want perfume all the time. I wonder what are the risks if it mishaps. Also I want to know specifics of the sensor capabilities.

Amoni B: Computational Concept

I would like to create a processing sketch that uses different hues and shades of purple. As someone goes left to right with the curser, the different shades will take effect (from the highlight/white to the most deep color). As a person moves vertically south, up to down, the hues will change. For example lavender, violet, and periwinkle.
