new stuff for housekeeping

Today I witnessed an additional step as to what leaders and managers do in resorts. I was glad to be given this opportunity and the privilege to be part of a conference that all these leaders have regarding guest and room issues that needs to be solved. It was pretty interesting and as I was listening and reading the messages as well. I had a better knowledge as to what it is they pay attention to and what issues they have the most. For example, there was a pest issue that was found in the room at the edges of the wall. They were discussing how the pest control came to control it and there is a constant follow up on the room as well with the guests. So as I was walking around the building running errands I was thinking to myself and summarizing what I just heard. Creating a checklist in my head as to what it is I should pay more attention to and what it is guests mostly complain about. This way I will have a better idea as to how to manage and lead my team for the future.

  1. All CPs should be able to go to a management meeting, I think it is great that you were invited to attend. Did you ask to be invited or did your leader take it upon themselves to invite you? What would you suggest to other CPs about working with management?

    She invited me herself. Told me that it will start in few minutes and to come to her office. In fact she also had me work on some closing for the housekeepers. It was great experiencing all of it.
