Hazards, whether it be the natural or man made is a managers number one priority as it relates to guest safety. Some basic precautions that the yacht and beach club take are usually synonymous with most hotels. For example, emergency exits are located on every floor and to help with that are diagrams in every hotel room that designate the safest routes to take in case of an emergency. Some other precautions are the usual wet floor signs that are placed around the hotel, whether it be onstage or backstage.
As a future manager, these precautions will become second nature to me as they cover the basic steps in guest safety. I firmly believe that areas with the greatest foot traffic need to be covered from all angles to ensure accidents dont occur.
