It’s been a very busy past few weeks. I’ve been working almost 16 days straight and yesterday was my first day off. With the spring break rush over, I now have time to reflect on everything that happened.
I started my second and completed round of training as an ODF stocker. Essentially, in hospitality terms, I am a waiter with 3-5 carts (tables) a day. With being a CP, I normally close the park so when I get in I walk out to check on how my carts are doing. I check everything from bags of chips to sanitizing wipes. I then will both check to see what they are low on and place an order for what they need. This is the process that I repeated all day until the carts close. I then restock and reload the carts for the next day.
This may sound like a very repetitive day but as one of my trainers put it “stockers are the eyes of the park.” When there is a safety concern, lost and found, or guest complaint with ODF, we are the ones that alert the managers. We always have our “Ears’ to the Ground”.
