Journal #13

This was a very interesting week. I attended two very important networking meetings related to my role as a housekeeper. The first was a round table with the executives at the All Star Resort. In this meeting we got a chance to meet Steve Schreiber the hotels general manager. He wanted to personally meet the CP and thank us for our hard work and dedication. I understand that it was a rare occasion and that in our future we might not get the chance to meet our managers in such a close and personal way. It was a really good experience. We also get to meet many formal cp who have become full time employees in many different areas like working in public relations for the cruise line and survey annalist for the overall Disney experience. This meeting gave a bit more of information at the type of future i can make with the Walt Disney world company. The second meeting I attended was the Housekeeping town hall. This meeting was created for all the housekeeping cp in the program to have the opportunity to meet our executive leaders and be able to share a few stories with the our fellow CP cast members. We talk about the good and the bad and got he opportunity to express how the program can be change for the better. It was a great treat to hear our leaders understand our struggles, because most of them have been where we are. I learn that it takes hard work a dedication to get anywhere  but if you do a  job to the best of your ability there is always room to grow
