Leadership Interview #9

It was an assignment for the Experimental Learning class the college students had to do. I had to choose one of our leaders in the company to interview. I did not know where to start with this project and decided to make a list of questions to address the leader. It was about 12:00a.m, after a Wednesday night shift I began the interview with Edwin M. Standefer.
Edwin. M Standefer is the Guest Retail Service Manager, located in Epcot, Future North. He have been in the company for 20 years and never left when he started his college program in 1986. He was excited to pursue a career in the company and continues to work.
My interview was about his leadership style and his challenges while working in Walt Disney. “Actions speak louder, then words and if action it’s not shown on stage nobody would respect you, he says.” He respects and values the culture of Walt Disney. He is an amazing, beautiful supportive manger who loves to spend time with the cast members. He is open to hear people opinions and is passionate about his job.
What I learn from the interview is he is very sensitive, inspiring and loyal to the organization. Ever since he joined Walt Disney in 1986, he chose to be apart of the family and make this as a career. He is well rounded, and believe in every of his cast members. He is a true definition of a leader and loves to inspire and create magical moments for happiness. He is a great person and I admire his leadership throughout the company.
