Weekly Reflective Journal 8

This week I was put as support for the first time and it was definitely an overwhelming task because we had over 280 checkouts. I was given a list of all the housekeepers with the amount of checkout rooms they had and I was to go around helping as many of them as possible with priority to the ones with more checkouts. At first I didn’t think it would be a difficult task because I was told by my manager to just do a bed or 2 for each of the prioritized housekeepers but I was wrong. Some housekeepers would ask for help in multiple rooms and I felt bad if I didn’t because some of them had over 10 checkouts. This was the first time I worked 8 hours straight without having a break and it definitely affected me the next day at work because of all the walking around Wilderness Lodge trying to track down each housekeeper. If I were to be put in support again, I would be prepared for it now.
