Traditions taught me how to become a better cast member, so that I am able to better perform my role. I learned some of the Disney language, how to create stories, and about the heritage of the company. One of the main things I learned was about the four keys, which are Safety, courtesy, show, and efficiency. The four keys will guide me on stage so that I can create happiness with the guest. I havenāt started working yet but Iām excited to see how the four keys come together for my role.
While reading the article āCreate Company Loyalty with New-Hire Practicesā by Tasha Freidlein I noticed how in their hotel they also use a video of their president to welcome new employees to the company and they have it available in English and Spanish, which is very similar to us because during traditions we also a video of the president of Walt Disney World welcoming us into the program. I really liked how employees are required to spend a night at the hotel so that they can see it from a guest might of view. While working for Disney you are allowed to enter the parks for free. It made me realize that the reason why we are given one these perks is because they also want us to see how it feels to be a guest and receive great customer service.
Great connections to the reading and your own experience but I would like to learn more about how you have implemented some of what you learned during Traditions.
