In a work place diasters are the last thing anyone wants. Unfortunately, they happen and you can only hope to see it coming before it actually hits. Disney doesn’t have to just worry about their guest but their emloyee as well. Thats a lot of people they have to keep safe and its a big job.

In the article “The storms of summer: lessons learned in the aftermath of the hurricanes’04” talked about how Walt Disney World Resort handled natural disasters. They not only kept their guest and employees safe from harms way but they kept them calm and enterntained as well. When a diaster hits you must have a plan ready because it can come unexpected and you have to have staff ready for recovery. Working in a resort, people practically live their for as long as they please so you need to be prepared for any diaster and supplies enough for all guest. It is very important to be prepared and making sure guest feel safe because if they dont feel safe it can become choas in just a couple of seconds.

This article was very informatives and gave alot of information of the walt disney world different plans. It not onky about havng a olan but you hae to be prepared and kept your guest calm in the worst of situations. This article was very informative. It is very importnt for hospitality leaders to be ready for anything especially in this industry where people can live on a resorts for month and having them calm ca make a horrible situaution easier.
