Live Well Session 2

I am still in the maintenance phase.  My intake of vegetables and fruits have increased while my carb intake has decreased.  I must admit that I have fallen off a little bit due to the heavy school load which prevented me from having time  from going to gym.  Now with free time on my hand, I am able to pick up where I left off  and continue.   Hopefully by the end of the semester or within the next few weeks, I will continue to see changes and hopefully I will reach where I would like to be.

LiveWell Session 2

I haven’t progress much since the first session of LiveWell. It is hard to manage a healthy lifestyle when my schedule is overwhelmed with responsibilities. I have no time for additional tasks. Most of the time I feel extremely exhausted. However, I do plan on managing my stress after I graduate in June. I will go back to the gym and prep healthier meals.

Live Well Session 2

Since my live well session, i am trying to track stats more and eat healthier options, but eating healthier cost a lot more. I am still trying to find a less expensive healthier option.

LiveWell part 2

So personally i have not been able to keep up well with the nutrition part of the program. Time constraints and just overall midterm stress my nutrition has tanked tremendously. I am trying to get back on my healthy eating routine working on the progress

Live Well Session 2

My progress with exercising is going very well. I find myself scheduling early classes to start my day. Its a boost of energy. I am trying my best in adding the fruits and vegs to my every day eating.  I’m in the preparation stage so when I eat them more than half the week, I’m excited.  I do great when I exercise cause it goes hand in hand but when I am busy and running out of time its so difficult to find resources that can fill that. I’ve been trying to cook and bring food to work. I found myself the other day on a street fruit stand. Although they are not my favorite cause the thought of them sitting outside all day is gross, it was a quick fix and I felt satisfied.

Livewell Session 2

My second session of livewell continue to be a success. I am in maintenance stage still for both exercise and healthy eating while my stress management is at its best. Like I wrote from my session one, I needed to focus on my core muscles, I was able to change my exercise routine by increasing the workout time by 5%. This is due to myself doing more reps when working out.  I also focus more on my fruit eating habit as well as my drinking habit (more water daily than ever before).  Keeping up with my eating habit remains one the most challenging thing that I will need to do to stay healthy.

Live well session 2

For my second session the same goal is at hand, get in the best shape mentally and physically. My live well stages are set at action for exercise and healthy eating while stress is at maintenance. In terms of exercising, I have kept up with bodyweight training while mixing it up routinely to keep the workouts fresh. I have looked into diets and have been intrigued by the ketogenic diet. This diet consist of limiting carb intake to a minimum while fats and proteins make up the rest of your diet. Overall the diet seeks to put the body in ketosis, which is the most optimal state for fat burning. Before the body can burn fat it burns carbs for fuel, the keto diet skips this process by keeping carbs low and having fat storages used instead. In addition,  I have also looked into supplementation such as a multivitamin, vitamin d, and omega 3. A blood test will tell us our vitamin deficiencies but in general, it doesn’t hurt to have these three as icing on the cake on top of good nutrition, exercise and rest. Oddly enough I have also looked into nootropics recently.  Nootropics are another kind of supplement, however, more potent per dosage allowing better brain function, focus, mood and determination. These types of pills aren’t like limitless pills from the Bradley Cooper film Limitless but they help to a great extent. When needed, needed being the key word, nootropics can help with studying, exams and work. It’s no wonder that many financial executives on wall street and silicon valley employees have been known to take them to better their cognitive performance. That has been my experience with my second live well session.

Live Well 2nd Full Session

As I went through my second session, the LiveWell website shows that I am in the ‘contemplation’ stage. I have slowly altered my diet for more fruits and vegetables and less junk food. I did start to drink water and juice over coffee and soda. Overall, I feel more energetic than a month or two ago. I feel that by the time I take my next session, I would start to focus on making time to exercise, even if it is just for 30 minutes. I do realize the importance of exercise even before I have taken these self-assessment sessions, that it would improve my mind and my body, especially with my hectic work and school schedule.
