Live Well Session 3

After just completing my 3rd session on live well, I notice a huge change within my self and my healthy life overall.  I have managed to increase my physical activity since we have started.  Not only that, but my managing stress and regular strength training has been in the maintenance stage since my 2nd session.  For my eating habits, I am in the action phase which I do plan to increase and reach maintenance stage and remain at maintenance stage.

Healthy Eating

I must admit, my eating habits are not where it should be.  I due blame school and work for having an odd schedule, but I should not let that be the only blame.  I could improve and do plan to improve my eating habits.  I do attend the gym on a daily basis, but will need for my eating habits to change. If this happens, I will see quicker results.

Live Well Session 2

I am still in the maintenance phase.  My intake of vegetables and fruits have increased while my carb intake has decreased.  I must admit that I have fallen off a little bit due to the heavy school load which prevented me from having time  from going to gym.  Now with free time on my hand, I am able to pick up where I left off  and continue.   Hopefully by the end of the semester or within the next few weeks, I will continue to see changes and hopefully I will reach where I would like to be.

Live Well

After reading and completing the questionnaire, I realized that I am on the right path for better health.  There are a few loop holes that I will need to close to continue on my path.  I do realize that my eating habits are not exactly where they should be, but is improving as I continue.  I try not to let situations in life stress me because I always tell my self “it could be worst”.  This allows me to try and have the best outcome out of every situation I may find my self in.  By the end of this semester, with the assistance of LiveWell, i will hope to find my self in a better physical and mental state of heath.

Active Minds

Active Minds is exactly what is needed to promote good health, especially good mental health.  As each day goes by, many people suffer from stress and anxiety attacks and do not know how to cope because he/she feels as if no one really understands them.  Active minds is in place to allow those who suffer from mental illnesses to feel as ease, allowing them to know that there are people who understand their daily struggle.

When Alison Malmon lost her older brother to suicide, it gave her a sense of strength to shine the light on mental illness and raise an awareness.  Just as her brother suffered, it can be guaranteed that there are hundreds of other people that suffer from similar illnesses.  If they were to take a look at active minds site, I am sure that their day would seek a little brightness and their feelings would change.
